I praise you for your shalom peace
gently drenching me
like the soft rays of the morning sun,
bringing revelation through the low hanging clouds —
that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be,
nowhere to go, no one else to be.
I’m content with my life
because your presence fills the cracks,
you have been with me through
the losses, unknowns, fears, and lack,
and by your mercy,
I’ve tasted your goodness in the land of the living.
Like water to wine,
your love transforms my bitterness to thanks,
praise rises before complaints.
Though I’ve been unfaithful,
you have been faithful,
and today, I’m content.
Just to be.
